NDLEA: Every Nigerian Is involved In War Against Drug Abuse

 

 

According to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, Nigeria is a major target of Cannabis Sativa peddlers.

Mr. Isaac Uzah, the NDLEA Marine Commander, recently stated this in Ibafon, Lagos, and bemoaned that almost all of the families in Nigeria today are being affected one way or the other by the menace that is drug abuse.

“You are already aware of the challenges drugs pose and Nigeria is a very big target of this merchant of death. You can see what has been removed just in one arrest. It takes a lot of demand on any agency to make this type of seizure and arrest. So, all hands must be on deck to ensure that this country is free from drug trafficking. Everybody has to key into the war launched by the CEO of NDLEA on drug abuse.”

“This is just an important aspect of the collaboration against the fight against illicit drugs. As you can see, when these quantities of drugs are removed from circulation, you don’t know the contribution it makes to national security and other negative consequences. So, I am very happy to be here and work together with the Customs and other stakeholders in this sector. It is very important because of the health hazards.”
