Home is where the heart is, but it can also be a haven for accidents waiting to happen.

Home refers to a place where an individual or a family resides. It is a personal space where people live, relax, laugh, share each other’s happiness, sorrows and engage in daily activities. A home can be a house, apartment, or any other dwelling that provides shelter and comfort. It often holds sentimental value and memories which reflects the lifestyle and preferences of its occupants. According to the National Safety Council, most accidents occur in the home.

Home accidents are unexpected events that happen suddenly which could cause injuries, deformities, damage of properties and death.

Home accidents should be declared as one of the 1000 ways to die because it is really underrated. It has killed a lot persons, both famous people and ordinary folks. Recently, it killed Ifeanyi Adeleke, the son of power couple – Davido and Chioma – who got drowned in the home pool. Another famous entertainer, Murphy Afolabi, died not too long ago after falling in the bathroom and hitting his head badly.
Home safety is crucial for preventing accidents and ensuring a secure living space and environment. Here are some practical tips to help you prevent home accidents:
