Lagos State Government Reschedules Climate Change SummitÂ
The Lagos State government has announced a new date for the International Climate Change Summit, which was initially scheduled for earlier this month. The summit will now take place from June 11 to 13, instead of the previously announced June 4-6.

According to a statement by the Director of Public Affairs at the Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources, Kunle Adeshina, the decision to reschedule was made to ensure a successful summit with maximum stakeholder participation and commitment to accelerating climate adaptation in the state.
The Permanent Secretary, Office of Environmental Services, Gaji Tajudeen, apologized for any inconvenience caused and appreciated the efforts of participants in preparing for the event. The summit, in its 10th year, will focus on “Accelerating Climate Finance and Championing Local Adaptation Initiatives” and will bring together climate experts to discuss policies, share ideas, and drive action towards a sustainable and healthier Lagos.
