HMO Tasks Its New Board With Improving Services
In an effort to ensure universal health coverage, Ultimate Health Management Services, a Health Management Organization (HMO), has urged its newly appointed Board of Directors to improve health insurance services.
A statement from Mr. Lekan Ewenla, the HMO’s Managing Director, gave the order at the HMO’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Abuja on Wednesday.
Dr. Minapuye Bob-Manuel, Medical Director of Valentine Hospitals in Port-Harcourt; Alhaji Abdulaziz Mashi-Abdullahi, a retired federal permanent secretary; and Mrs. Susan Giwa-Osagie, an Independent Executive Director of Regency NEM Insurance, Ghana are the new board members.

The statement reads that three retiring directors, who have finished their terms of office, will be replaced by the new members. At the AGM, the shareholders ratified the appointment of the three new board members.
“They should support in driving the vision of the organisation. That is by focusing on the enhancement of the existing operational processes and procedures that would further concretise the growth and the expansion strategy of the company. This is with a clearer view of the future of health insurance programme and the implementation of business models that will stand the organisation out in the industry and the country.”
Mr. Ewenla expressed his appreciation to the outgoing officials for being valued board members and transforming the HMO into a world-class organisation operating with innovative work processes and procedures.
