Welfare Of Health Workers Remains Top Priority, Says Ondo Govt
According to the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), it believes that an improved welfare for the Doctors in the country will reduce the brain drain in the health sector.
Dr. Oladayo Ogunlana, the Chairman NMA Chairman of the South West zone, gave this insight when he led the executive members of the association to pay a condolence visit to governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu in Akure over the June 5th Owo church attack.

As he commended the governor for his immediate response to the needs of the victims as well as other interventions such as establishment of AMOTEKUN, Dr. Ogunlana also charged the governor to further encourage the other south west governors to be more active where it concerns security.

In his response, Governor Akeredolu praised the NMA and other medical institutions for treating the patients of Owo terror attack.
Governor Akeredolu also use the opportunity to re-echo the need for community policing which he said was the antidote for the insecurity challenges in the country.
The governor stated that there are plans currently underway to provide a better working environment for health workers in the state.
