University College Hospital Ibadan IVF Centre Achieves Significant Success in Fertility Treatment

The University College Hospital (UCH) Ibadan In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) Centre has announced significant strides in fertility treatment, with a notable success rate since its inception. According to Adesina Oladokun, UCH IVF Coordinator, the centre has conducted approximately 148 IVF cycles and 10 intrauterine insemination (IUI) treatments, achieving a remarkable success rate.

This year alone, the centre has recorded a 38% success rate, with patients undergoing thorough evaluation and investigation to determine the best treatment options. Many patients have previously attempted similar procedures at other facilities before achieving success at UCH.

Age is a key factor influencing the success rate of fertility treatments, and the centre strives to help patients achieve their goal of conception. IVF involves fertilization outside the body, with the resulting embryo transferred into the uterus.

The UCH IVF Centre, located on the hospital’s south campus, operates from Monday to Friday, with extended hours when procedures are ongoing. IVF costs vary depending on individual treatment requirements.

The centre’s achievements demonstrate its commitment to providing effective fertility treatment options, offering hope to individuals and couples seeking to conceive.
