Researchers Discover New Solution to Treat Bacteria-infected Water

Researchers working on clean water solutions at the Covenant University, Ota, Ogun State, have in their latest discovery, found out that water treated with Amezcua Bio Disc 3, inhibited the growth of pathogenic bacteria, which is harmful to human health.

Amezcua Bio Disc 3, a product of a wellness-focused company QNET, creates subtle vibrations to restructure water infected by harmful bacteria, thereby reducing microbial counts in water.

Speaking on the discovery at a recent workshop held at the university, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Abiodun Adebayo, stated that the research was meant to ascertain the efficiency of the Amezcua Bio Disc 3 on microbes.

Microbes are tiny living things that are around us but naked to the human eyes, the National Centre for Biotechnology Information stated.

It, however, noted that some microbes are good for humans, while some are disease-causing agents.

Adebayo also said that the university was pleased to research Amezcua Bio Disc 3, stating that the product was essential for Nigerians, particularly those living in rural areas and those without access to clean water.

The VC added that the product has been certified by several scientists and recognised as a proven and safe way to harmonise energy and uplift quality of life.

He said, “What bio disc 3 does is to help the wellness of our body. Spring water is natural water that helps the body to function very well and what this bio disc 3 does is that it is to break the very large particle of water into small particle-like spring water that will help the normal functioning of the body and that is what it does.

“What we equally tried to do, because we are very curious as scientists on what this (bio disc 3) can also do. Can we also begin to look at the maximum benefit of this product from the stable of QNET? That is what informed this study to see whether it can also reduce microbial load and that is exactly what we have done.

“And we have seen here from the result presented to you that if it is placed over the disk, over and over again, it tends to reduce the microbial load. This is just a preliminary investigation from us, of course, we are going to be doing further studies to validate this to help better the quality of our people.”

Also, the Chief Transformation and Reputation Officer of QNET, Mr. Trevor Kuna, described the product as an engineered disc that is enabled with minerals that help to restructure infected water and make it safe for consumption.

Kuna said, “The world is generally unhealthy, people are consuming things that they don’t label. They are drinking water that they don’t even understand where the source is. So, what we are doing is, we are educating the world, we are making the world healthier, and we are looking at wellness and general well-being. We have been on this journey for the past 25 years and we are continuing for another 25 years to focus on improving the overall wellbeing of humans. That is our mission.”
