NMCN Registrar Urges Nurses To Adopt Modern Technology

Faruku Umar-Abubakar, the Registrar of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN), is urging nurses and other healthcare providers across the various health institutions in Nigeria to adopt modern technology as it will assist them in improving their services to the people.

She said this at the second Induction ceremony of Nurses in Osun state.

Thirty-nine of them have successfully passed the General Nursing Council examination and are now being inducted into the profession.

The Registrar of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria who was represented at the event tasked the nurses with the challenges ahead of them, cautioning them against any conduct that could tarnish the image of the profession.

A lecture on the topic, ‘Technology and Nursing Practice: Trends, Challenges and Prospects’ was delivered by a community health specialist at the Federal Ministry of Women’s Affairs, Adekemi Olowookere.

Professor Anthony Akinlo, Vice Chancellor of Redeemers University, also appealed to the inductees to strive for excellence.
