NLC lauds FG Routine Immunisation, COVID-19 Vaccination Exercise
The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has commended the front-line health workers and the federal government through the leadership of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) for the success recorded in routine immunisation and the fight against COVID-19 pandemic in Nigeria.
NLC President, Ayuba Wabba gave the commendation at the Sensitisation of Non-Health Stakeholders and Non-Professionals on the Importance of Immunisation and other PHC Services organised by NPHCDA in Abuja.
Wabba said the feat achieved in routine immunisation has reduced the prevalence of the virus in the country while urging the health workers and the leadership of NPHCDA not to leave any Nigerian behind in the efforts to eradicate the deadly virus in the country.

According to Wabba, COVID-19 was not given chance to spread widely in the country with the tireless efforts of the health workers who ensured that Nigerians are protected from the scourge of the virus.
The NLC president used the opportunity to call on all Nigerians to make themselves available for immunisation against deadly diseases.
“The collaboration of relevant stakeholders with the government would go a long way in strengthening the health system in the country”.
The Executive Director of NPHCDA, Faisal Shuaib called on Nigerian women to present their children for immunisation against diseases and other health problems affecting children.
He assured of the safety and efficacy of immunisation, stating that the agency is posted to serve the people well on their health issues.
