Nigerians tasked with regular health screening
President, KB Klub, Aiyeyemi Abimbola, has advised Nigerians to take regular health screening and check-up seriously to curb cancer in the country.
Abimbola stated this when the KB Klub in the College of Medicine, University of Lagos, marked its 53rd yearly Philanthropic Day with sensitisation and free cervical and breast cancer screening for women and children in Egbeda, Lagos State.

He charged health workers and critical stakeholders to constantly educate the public on why women between 25 and 65 years of age should do breast and cervical cancer screening, adding that early detection would go a long way in the treatment of cancer.

According to him, it is important women go for screening regularly, especially when it is free, just as he encouraged other organisations to work towards helping the public curb cancer, which is ravaging the country.
A senior medical officer with Afya Care/ R- Jolad Hospital, Dr. Faola Ayodeji, said: “One of the things the world is grappling with is the proliferation of different types of cancers. We want to partner with as many people as possible to make sure that they are educated and informed on the ongoing problems and the way to prevent and solve them eventually.”
