NHIA: Executives And Coordinators Are Being Trained

 

The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) has collaborated with Results for Development (R4D) and the Enterprise Development Centre (EDC) and begun a three-day executive leadership development programme (E-NLDP) to train all executives and coordinators so as to improve the quality and expertise of the healthcare delivery in Nigeria.

The leadership training is being held in Lagos and is a part of the Federal Government’s efforts in bridging the capacity and competence gap that is in the Health Insurance Ecosystem.

The event which was started on the 6th of June, is an in-depth training of the General Managers, the NHIA’s State Coordinators and the CEOs of State Social Health Insurance Agencies.

Mr. Femi Akingbade, the representative of the NHIA’s Director General, and Dr. Hope Uweja, the Country Director of R4D kick-started the training .
