NDLEA Seizes Billions of Naira Worth of Cocaine and Cannabis in Nationwide Operation
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has announced a major breakthrough in its fight against drug trafficking, seizing billions of naira worth of cocaine and cannabis in a nationwide operation.
The agency intercepted cocaine concealed in automobile parts, Ghanaian fabric, and other items, including:

– 517 grams of cocaine in clothing materials
– Pentazocine injection, promethazine injection, and cocodamol pills
– 21 parcels of Loud, a synthetic strain of cannabis, weighing 10kg
– 532 parcels of Loud, weighing 265.25kg, and 75 parcels, weighing 37.5kg, at Tincan seaport, Lagos
– 425 compressed blocks of cannabis sativa, weighing 291.200kg, in Adamawa State
– 1,169kg of cannabis in Lagos
– 1,230.00kg of cannabis destroyed in Kogi State
The NDLEA also arrested several suspects, including members of a cocaine trafficking network and owners of cannabis farms.
Chairman Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa commended the officers for their efforts and urged them to continue their fight against drug cartels.
