Jigawa: Qatar, Inuwa Foundation offers free medical service to 486 people
No fewer than 486 people with cataracts have benefited from free eye surgery, medications and eyeglasses in Jigawa State.
The project was executed by the Qatar Foundation in collaboration with Mallam Inuwa Foundation. At least 200 persons out of the entire 486 received free eyeglasses.

Out of the 486 persons, 286 people were given free medications after medical examinations had detected their eye defects. Some of the largely indigent patients expressed happiness and gratitude for the gesture.
The Mallam Inuwa Foundation, which was initiated and sponsored by Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, Director General of the National Information Technology Development Agency, NITDA also offered free eye treatments to people in rural communities in the state.
The medical outreach sponsored by the Inuwa Foundation was executed in collaboration with the Qatar Charity foundation.
The eye treatment and care service held in selected hospitals in the state is supervised by eye medical experts with visitations by the Board of Directors of the Qatar charity foundation.
