Ehanire: Nigeria Working To Improve Healthcare System
Dr. Osagie Ehanire, the Minister of Health, has stated that Nigeria is working towards strengthening its health security and delivery in order to achieve the Millennium Development Goals and Universal Health Coverage.

Dr. Ehanire stated this during the 75th World Health Assembly in Geneva, Switzerland and said that Nigeria is endorsing the “Health for peace and peace for Health”, which is the theme for this year’s Assembly.
The Minister made notice that it was the first physical Assembly ever since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic and remarked that it sparked a new confidence in the health sector after learning new and vital lessons.
According to the him, Nigeria was also starting to increasingly recognise the strong and vibrant role that the primary Health care system played in the achievement of the objectives of public Health security.
