COVID-19 Vaccine: Egypt Pledges 30 Million Doses To African Countries
According to President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi of Egypt, Egypt will supply its fellow African states with 30 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines.
Egypt Today reported that on Sunday, the president had made this announcement during the maiden edition of Africa Health ExCon, an online news portal.
Accordingly, the country was chosen as one of six African states that would receive mRNA technology that is used to develop vaccines and other medicines to combat many incurable diseases.

For this purpose, Senegal, Kenya, South Africa, Tunisia and Nigeria were selected in early 2022, along with Egypt.
Around 100 countries participate in the African Health ExCon, which is held by the Egyptian Authority for Unified Procurement (UPA).
“I want to tell my brothers in Africa that limited resources are never an obstacle in the way of achieving goals,” President Sisi stressed, given that two-panel discussions on the localization of drug manufacturing on the continent took place.
In his address to foreign investors, President Sisi said that “the capabilities of Africa are enormous.” He pledged to continue sharing know-how and experience with fellow African states in all sectors.
