Completion Agenda Provides A’Ibom Workers With Free Medical Services
In an efforts to that ensure workers remain healthy, Ini Ememobong, the Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, has organised a free health screening for the workers in his Ministry as well as parastatals under the states Completion Agenda.
According to a statement yesterday, the screening exercise was held between Tuesday, January 10, and Friday, January 13 at the Ministry’s headquarters, Akwa Ibom Broadcasting Corporation premises, and the Akwa Ibom Newspaper Corporation.
It commenced with the management staff of the Ministry undergoing comprehensive screening at the Image Diagnostic laboratory along Obio Imo Street in Uyo, the state capital.

At different offices, workers were screened on blood sugar levels, blood pressure, liver and kidney functioning, and general health issues and diseases like malaria parasites and typhoid by a healthcare provider, MerryKnight (Nig) Limited Medical Mission, with Dr. Ubong Clifford Ubom as the lead consulting medical professional.
Speaking on the exercise, Ememobong, said a healthy workforce is key to high performance and maximum productivity.
He said the state government would be winding down the Completion Agenda of Governor Udom Emmanuel in a couple of months and was doing all possible to hand over a healthy workforce.
During the monitoring of the exercise at the corporation, the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Akparawa James Edet, praised the Ememobong’s initiative for workers, emphasising that the state information helmsman is interpreting the vision of Emmanuel towards the overall well-being and welfare of workers in government employ.
