WHO Bestows Mini Laboratories to Plateau State Government

The World Health Organisation donated two mini COVID–19 laboratories to Plateau State government.

On Saturday,during the handover, Musa Mahdi, the state coordinator of WHO, expressed confidence in the state’s ability to uphold the current standards of the facilities.

Furthermore, Mr Mahdi represented by Andrew Abiodun, said the labs would enhance access to quality healthcare services by people in the state.

Responding, Cletus Bako, the Commissioner for Health in the state, thanked the donors for the gesture.

Mr Bako said the laboratories would ensure proper diagnoses of medical challenges in the health facilities they are domiciled.

He added that the laboratories would go a long way to provide improved healthcare services to the people.

Lastly, the two mini laboratories donated are located in primary healthcare centres Bukuru and Tudun Wada, in Jos South and Jos North Local Government Area, respectively.
